18th International Pragmatics Conference (IPrA) in Brussels, Belgium

Conference

In order to present for discussion initial findings from the German-Polish research project in the context of linguistic research on multimodal positioning in political discourse Cornelia Müller organised a section at the largest international conference on language use research (IPrA).

The work was received with great interest. Further exchanges were agreed with a team from the University of Leuven in particular, which will be realised in the form of reciprocal visits in 2024.
Beside Cornelia Müller and Clara Kindler-Mathôt also Jana Junge from the team in Frankfurt took part, as did Maciej Karpinski and Ewa Jarmołowicz-Nowikow from the Poznan team. The conference was used extensively for dialogue within the teams.
