Call for applications for student employees

As part of the Master's degree programme "European Studies" (MES), the position of Student Employee (f/d/x/m) is to be filled as of 01.10.2024 to be filled with 7h/week. Call for applications for doctoral student funding

As part of its cooperation with the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the "Pensées Françaises Contemporaines" programme, the European University Viadrina is awarding research funding for doctoral students for the academic year 2024/2025. The funding will be awarded for 1 to 3 months within the period from October 2024 to August 2025. The application deadline is 30 September 2024.

Support for doctoral students

As part of its cooperation with the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the "Pensées Françaises Contemporaines" programme, the European University Viadrina awards research funding for doctoral students for each academic year. The funding is awarded for one to three months within the academic year. The next application deadline is 15 September 2024.

As part of its cooperation with the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the "Pensées Françaises Contemporaines" programme, the European University Viadrina awards research funding for (post)doctoral students for each academic year and a position for a visiting professor.

Utopie Europa

Since its foundation, the European University Viadrina (EUV) has developed into an important institution for European exchange, dialogue and debate. As part of the strategic partnership between the EUV and the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and in collaboration with the Centre Marc Bloch in Berlin, the EUV supports a student project on the topic of "Ecological Change. Europe - green future or green utopia?", which is organised every year at the French Embassy. This project takes place as part of the "Utopia Europe" event series, which is funded by the French Embassy, the Institut français and the Franco-German University.

The Rendez-Vous sur l'Oder are made possible by a collaboration between the "Pensées françaises contemporaines" programme (visiting professor Dr habil. Arnaud Lechevalier, Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and PFC coordinator Dr habil. Elsa Tulmets) and the Viadrina Language Centre of the Viadrina. The guest lecture by Dr Daniela Heimpel entitled "Bringing Europe closer to its citizens? A Review of the Conference on the Future of Europe 2021-2022" will take place on Thursday, 30 May 2024 at 6 pm (Room: HG 217/Zoom). Dr Daniela Heimpel will speak about citizen participation in Europe.

Rendez-vous sur l'Oder: PD Nikola Tietze on the sociological analysis of the ECJ's case law on access to social rights

The Rendez-Vous sur l'Oder are made possible by a collaboration between the "Pensées françaises contemporaines" programme (visiting professor Dr habil. Arnaud Lechevalier, Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and PFC coordinator Dr habil. Elsa Tulmets) and the Viadrina Language Centre of the Viadrina. The guest lecture by PD Dr Nikola Tietze entitled "When European citizens become a "burden" ... The conflict over social assistance for migrant workers at the Court of Justice of the European Union (1998-2015)" will take place on Thursday, 20 June 2024 at 6 pm (Room: HG 217). PD Dr Nikola Tietze will speak about the sociological analysis of the ECJ's case law on access to social rights.
