Heide Fest
Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences (Kuwi)
PhD student in the international PhD study programme "Kulturwissenschaften" / "Cultural Sciences“
Her research focuses on various forms of embodied meaning-making processes, both in face-to-face interactions and in audiovisual contexts. Her (media-) linguistic work explores questions surrounding the mediality of language, language use in political settings, affectivity, and the methodological implications of complex multimodal forms of communication. Currently, she is involved in the interdisciplinary project "Multimodal Stancetaking: Expressive Movement and Affective Stance. Political Debates in the German Bundestag and the Polish Sejm," funded by the DFG/NCN, and serves as a co-host at the Viadrina Gesture Center.
