Invitation to policy writing seminar

ValEUs research network: The University of Pittsburgh invites you to a seminar on writing policy briefs, which will take place on 27 February 2025 from 4-7 pm (CET) in a hybrid format.

All students and staff who are broadly interested in skills related to policy wiritng are invited to attend. The seminar will be held by Prof Müge Finkel, Director of the Ford Institute for Human Security and Co-Director of the Gender Inequality Research Lab at the University of Pittsburgh, and will provide an overview of the rationale, context and formats of policy writing.

The seminar is the kick-off event to a workshop series organised by the research network focusing on key themes: De/migration; Decolonisation; Europe Viewed from the South; Populism and Euroscepticism; Nation-building/state-interventionism; Critiquing or Affirming the EU/Values versus Realpolitik. The aim is to draft policy briefs which will be published in the International Review of ValEUs. Participation in the kick-off event is independent of participation in the entire workshop series.
