Call for applications: Scholarships for doctoral students

The Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences is offering start-up and completion grants for doctoral students for the year 2025. The scholarships totalling 1,350 euros per month will be awarded for a period of six to twelve months. The application deadline is 23 March 2025.

First graduate of the Cultural and Social Studies programme

In 2020, Oona Malmi (centre) was among the first students to begin studying the English-language Bachelor's programme in Cultural and Social Studies. During the months of the pandemic, she became increasingly interested in feminist TikTok activists. She has now written her final thesis on one of them, making her the first graduate of the programme. She successfully defended her thesis at the end of November 2024.
