Pragmatics and Contrastive Linguistics - Prof. Dr Konstanze Jungbluth
Chair of Pragmatics and Contrastive Linguistics
Who speaks to whom and in what way? Where do plurilingual communities live? What communicative strategies do young people practise in the German-Polish border region?
Pragmatics and contrastive linguistics with a special focus on Romance languages are our fields of research. Many of our research groups are interdisciplinary. They develop the perspective of Cultural Border Studies.
Our Colloquium on Multilingualism, Migration and Minorities promotes encounters between committed citizens of the twin city, students, and academics at different stages of their careers.
